Store juice cider, tropical

My first alcoholic ferment in 1.5 years. When 100% juice is on sale, I get a couple of bottles for a gallon of cider. (yes they're ciders, they're all apple juice based despite the tropical label.)

1 gal juice, half packet of US05, 1tsp nutrient, see ya in 2 weeks.

You should try a dedicated cider yeast rather than US-05. I kept being unhappy with the store juice ciders I tried to make, they always came out kind of thin and bland. Turns out cider specific yeast strains were what I was missing and the difference was dramatic. SafCider AB-1 is my favorite.

Thanks. I'll try that next time.

No, I'll see you in two weeks. Do you have a gravity reader? Curious what the ABV is on this technique

Almost every juice I've ever gotten is 1.040. I think it's probably regulated.
