Yes, an open straight is better for Canada (which is what it was before Trump opened the can of worms). Canada will help do what's best for Canada. Canada can'help' the U.S. in this regard. Canada can also tell the U.S. to fuck off regarding other things.

The airliner downed by Iran during Trump 1 had 63 Canadians on board - Iran is a touchy subject in Canada and it makes perfect political sense for Carney to pay lip service to supporting the war.

Canada is powerless against Iran. The longer the war on Iran is the worst it is for the whole world. you seem to enjoy so much that usa will use all it's air defense to continue this war on at the expense of Ukraine and South Korea

Why? It's in Canada's interest to keep the straight open. Not to mention the repressive regime in Iran, and the nuclear risk. Of course it's all in the context of the idiot Americans, but if we can help bring about peace, prosperity and human rights within that context, Canada should do what it can.
