I'm a bit pessimistic but from my understanding those individuals who already own "short term rentals" will be allowed to continue running these units but new entrants will be prevented from entering the market to protect the housing supply. Sounds like this will benefit the current status quo, they may even make more profit because of this rule. Any future entrepreneur will be screwed while people that got in first will reap the benefits. Younger generations continue to get opportunities taken away while older ones sit on their buts and make money
