Help configuring foot terminal.

Using bazzite 44 on steamdeck and i downloaded foot term from Bazaar and i wanted to use my own .ini file for it. but it doesnt seem to think that foot i s installed even while im using it. I created a file at ~/.config/foot/foot.ini and i ib looked at /etc/xdg/ there was no foot directory.
