White is for Witching by Helen Oyeyemi

This last month the group read was Helen Oyeyemi's White is for Witching. It's a racial horror, set in Dover, South East England, where a guest house is powered by the racism of its original owner. It was originally published in 2009 but sadly its themes are very relevant to the UK of today. A couple of us struggled with the first half of the book as its (purposefully) written in a disorienting way to give the reader a sense of the power of the house and how it affects those within it.
