Vaping isn't just annoying to passersby who have to walk through clouds of vapor but may be actively harmful to the environment, a new study says. Discarded nicotine vapes contain extremely high levels of lead and other heavy metals in their remaining cache of e-liquid, researchers report in the journal Environmental Monitoring and Assessment.

Seems unnecessarily confrontational to the people whose habits you hope to change in writing the article.
Disposable vapes are a plain and obvious environmental problem, and it doesn't take a study on the contents of their spent cartridges to see why.
All vapes should be rechargeable and refillable.

I hate disposable anything. Its so fundamentally American to sell those without a recycling program available. And if that means I'm calling Chinese firms American, so be it.
