I guess paying some electrician a small fee to help them design a realistic wiring instead of that was too much of a hassle for the show. It's so bad that really looks slop.
It's not just the color code. An electrical panel (a normal one) would have more than just a bunch of breakers connected in series and then randomly in hot or off. Besides, some of the breakers have a red and a blue wire while others have two red wires.

Slop aside, Shelly is the worst for this. The printed diagram should be the internal device functions, but they've drawn the field connections.
