May I ask what parallel and climate you are in, like continental or maritime, to have daffodils and all before the equinox?
Up here around 45th parallel in the north in a continental climate, we get thaws and such, but frequent freezes at the equinox in late march, all the way through april and sometimes into may, this year we had freezes into I think the 3rd week of may, and hard freezes in early may.
My daffodils do come out about in April, they actually like the freezes, after it stops freezing they stop producing new flowers to start I was told.
