Without knowing the context — and I do know the song, just not familiar with that line — I’d think it sounded like Them Crooked Vultures, another band with a nonsensical name that sounds cool.

Honestly the context is a obtuse metaphor for "help me lead this band as frontman, whilst we all put on a stage persona that's not our real self"
