Ironically many red states have made this a very serious crime, and severely restricted the ability of groups to sign up new voters, and or established draconian penalties under rather broadly written laws to prosecute people for any mistakes in voter registrations.
But they would never dare charge Musk I'm afraid. They might demand a bribe though idk what they have going on exactly.
