Even if Tom and Adam might be able to catch up (lesser challenges, maybe some problems/bad pulls for Sam and Ben ,...), they will watch that progress in horror. And as they said: It will get worse over time, as they IIRC already suspected a skip. But several skips and maybe even being in time for the baseball game on top (wasn't there a shot from a stadium in the trailer?) will be hard to swallow.
I wouldn't call it over yet. As Todam said - their northern route features less prefectures (less challenges/time loss but also less pulls) and limited express. The south of Bam features Shinkansens (but those need cards) and slower trains otherwise. Also there are more prefectures (more pulls, but also more challenges).
I'd say it doesn't look like Bam get that much of a lead to make me worry. But still I think Todam will freak out about itm

I think Bam also have at least two more prefectures to clear, depending exactly where the train lines go, so it's not over for Todam yet!
