McDonald's prices have doubled in the last 10 years.
The profits have gone mostly to shareholders, who got nearly $40 billion in dividends over the past decade while customers suffer and workers are underpaid.
Here's how fast food is the latest victim of enshittification

I used to always go for the establishments with tons of ratings/reviews. Then I’d notice decreases in quality and value over the years, with people still flocking like sheep, the whole thing just maintaining off of familiarity and online presence. So lately, my strategy with enshittification is to not hesitate in trying out new shops and restaurants that open. Because that’s when they’re trying the hardest to impress new customers. When quality and value start going downhill, that’s when I look for the next place to go. No more loyalty from me, I figure. It feels like waking up to the game. You use me, I use you✌🏼

Not only that, but local restaurants actually appreciate you. Go to a local diner for breakfast or lunch someday, they're usually very friendly and you can tell there is more of your community there than the beeps and numbers of any fast food joint. I know not everyone can afford to eat out, but if you do at least give the money to your neighbors instead of some corporate dick.

You only suffer as a customer if you buy it.
