I thought when the Current announced his transition from coach to sporting director was a bad fit, they meant he wanted to do more coaching and less administration, but given he's taking a CSO position you've gotta think it's because they had him doing too much on-field work
Today, the Chicago Stars have announced the former USWNT head coach, two-time NWSL Champion, and NWSL Coach of the Year as their new Chief Soccer Officer.
This is very exciting. I don't expect a miraculous turnaround, but it is the first time in a while that I have hope for this team. As long as they don't fire him right away, like they've done to everyone else, I think we have a strong contending team in a couple of years.
