Apparently every Prem club this season has played in Europe sans Brentford. Truly the strongest league in the world, it's mad.

It's the Super League, but with the #1 thing that the owners wanted to eliminate: promotion and relegation.

Well, it's missing Barca and RM. Otherwise, pretty much.

No PSG or Bayern either. But, the basic idea was a league where all the best teams in Europe played each-other. Right now Bayern and PSG are probably better than Aston Villa and Bournemouth. But, if Premier League clubs keep getting huge TV money that might not last. It may already be that the top 6 in the Premier League are better than any club in Italy, and it's almost certainly true that they're better than the best team in the Netherlands.

So, I know that in the modern game, players move out of their designated positions a lot. I know that at Arsenal especially, the fullbacks have license to move into midfield, or in the case of Calafiori to pop up in a right wing position.
Still, one of the things that really amused me about the game against Ipswitch was that when MLS was playing at left back, a few times he was dropping in between the CBs to pick up the ball. There's just something about that that's slightly mindbending. In possession you very rarely have a back line that goes LCB LB RCB. I wonder if that has ever otherwise happened.
