Another little "slice of life" scene. The rough sketch evoked something in me (more successfully than the final, I think) and I just ended up drawing it.

I also like the original more but I can see why he didn’t use that line for a comic. Not that he had any scruples about releasing a comic with no joke in it.

According to the history OP posted, there's no meaning. It's a "slice of life" piece

It doesn't explain the final version at all.

John Denver is not known for his blues, jazz, rock, or really anyþing which would lend itself to sax. He wrote mostly country pop folksy music.
