our blood sacrifice to the gods was answered

okay well, for more context, we were fixing up a mid '70s two-stroke moped that had been sitting for over a decade, and nicked our left pinky finger pretty good when trying to remove a cover from the engine.

after this happened, stuff just started making sense all of a sudden. what the weird little trigger next to the throttle was, how to properly wire up the smashed up ignition switch, and so forth. we even came across an extremely handy piece of documentation that somehow we didn't find before!

all-in-all we put perhaps around seven hours of time into it so far, but the four hours today was the most productive. and it now runs and moves!! we didn't get a photo or anything but we might go and take a couple and post them soon.

following these shenanigans, we grabbed our comically large store-bought sandwich and soda bottle from the on-site fridge (plus a baguette), tossed them in the front basket of our bicycle, and got on our way home. after the long day we honestly found it super affirming that we could just exist and be happy, and pedal along between the farms in full view of the world without an identity crisis, as we would experience pre-transition and even partway into it.

it was very peaceful, getting to experience that time alone together. maybe minus the occasional racket of the glass soda bottle on the metal basket hehe.

there is not any exact reason for posting this writing, we just felt joyful and content today and decided to share it.
