This spincoater is made for making custom circuit boards. The idea is that all boards made with this process have a 3mm mounting hole in the center.
UV curable resin is applied to both sides of a copper clad board, spun off at 3000rpm after which the speed is lowered to 300rpm and the UV light on both sides will then cure the thin layer on the board.
This is only a prototype.
The spinning mechanism is a 775 motor with a rotary encoder that is controlled by one of the PWM pins of an Arduino Nano.

Interesting. What's the particular application that would warrant that? I'm asking because conformal coating could be applied easier.
Also, do. you plan to stick to a certain resin, or do you have a little test setup to adjust for e. g. differences in viscosity?

Conformal coating with a silk screen never worked well for me. There were always visible creases and uniformity issues.
I also want to have a consistent layer thickness because the intention is to start with a white layer and on top of that a green layer. I will use a laser engraver to remove part of the green layer to expose white again to make the silkscreen layer.
A spincoater ensures the coating is always exactly the same which is good for laser ablation.
