Still repeating themselves from the first album. Makes me doubtful for the next release from another similar solid band, Slugdge.

I feel like there's solid evolution going on here. Just enough to be fresh, but not so much that it feels like a curveball.

What I personally want is more of what AB have already laid down with enough progression to keep things fresh. This feels like they're gonna hit the mark for me, personally.

I guess we have different definitions on what we expect by the amount of innovation/evolution. After all, the last behold album had electronic drums, guitar synths and no amps/distortion pedals? And the one before that , cowbells and wood blocks, and I was fine with it.

I mean, I kinda yearn for more skullgrid, and "you will be reincarnated as an imperial attack spaceturtle part 2", but I prefer them to grow as musicians and present me with new stuff. If I wanted to buy the same album 30 times, I'd be the world's biggest AC/DC fan.
