At the edge of the mangroves in Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve, a Buffy Fish Owl spotted something moving through the undergrowth.
Not a fish. Not a rodent. A spider!
The owl approached with quiet precision, picked up its tiny prey, and swallowed it without hesitation.
In the wild, survival often comes down to recognising an opportunity and making the most of it.

Speaking of delicious treats, I noticed my new coffee had a cute little owl on the bag!
I didn't notice any of the animals in the thumbnail when I ordered it, but when it arrived I noticed the squirrel and then the others, and I thought, "I wish there was an owl on here..." and then I spotted it! 🦉
