So it seems the limit for "non family" is half that, 9k

"Family" is over 300k, but it would be weird if one candidate being an ex husband, that would somehow count...

I just hate how the media pretends the wealthy buying elections is fine, and don't even bother to explain what loopholes are being used so voters have a chance to level the playing field.

How would voters have the chance to "level the playing field"? The whole reason large donations are a problem is because most people don't have that kind of money and it allows the wealthy few to buy elections?

Honestly most people wouldn't have bothered responding when you "ask" like that, comes off that you're just looking for a slap fight and don't actually want anyone to clarify so you can understand

As much as I hate Hochul, she needs every dollar she can get. Blakeman would be very bad for New York, and the new Siena poll that came out yesterday only has him trailing by 9 points. That's much better than Zeldin at the same point in the last election cycle, and he only ended up losing by 6.

If you're going to somehow make the inexplicable error of marrying a Republican - for 23 bloody years, no less - I feel there might be some consolation in subsequently marrying a member of The Beatles.
