Conversely, stroke and heart attack risks were limited to prolonged use of high-dose oral hormone therapy, while transdermal hormone therapy (delivered via the skin as patches, gels, or sprays) showed no general increased blood clot risk.

it is. just read the article and following study. it not only described dose and duration was directly relevant it goes onto tell on itself how they didnt take any effort to also study lifestyle habits let alone acknowledging the known link between smoking and clots while on hrt which has been already an established for decades.
they also footnoted it with "this is purely observational".
it reads like someone clumsily misused an AI prompt and slapped a 'study' label on it.

The risk as i understand it from the act of dissolving the capsule. I infer that it's equivalent risk for each capsule regardless of the per-capsule dose or how long you've been taking the capsules.
It would be equivalent of saying "plugging random USB sticks into a PC can be dangerous regardless of the reported capacity of the drive or how often you've plugged in a random stick and not been the victim of a ransomware attack."

Well yeah, we’ve known this since the 70s, I think? That’s why patches and vaginal creams are the thing now.

Advice from the medical community that has never studied the female body?

"regardless of dose and duration"
meanwhile the study goes on to explain it is dose and duration https://www.bmj.com/content/394/bmj-2026-100688
A 'study' , to put it loosely, that decided it was not important to check lifestyle choices either like bmi or smoking.
Looks and sounds like someone used AI to entirely do observational research while kicking out all other research about Hrt particularly linked between clots and smoking while on any type of hrt.
"prompt: first: steal all this personal information about perscriptions on all these individuals. now check records for hospital visits BUT do not categorize any of the outcome by lifestyle. oh and I better say it is purely observational so i dont get sued for misusing AI for bullshit studies."
Just goes to show women are really ignored. Even when they are being studied however indirectly.
