Just put 10 packs trough my second Air 65 II and on the last pack I just got the OSD on a black screen. Cursory "research" revealed that most likely my VTX is fucked.

Don’t worry, it gets a lot better. Less crashes, less repairs, but your wallet never feels the relief because you’ll keep wanting to upgrade to something better or try to fly something different.
Regarding the VTX, it’s possible some wiring came loose. You’ll have to get good at soldering at some point.

Well, on the AIO Board there are not many possibilities for loose wiring as everything came pre-soldered. I saw one Facebook post, where the guy just reflowed his entire board, but that is a little far out of my skill area.

I was assuming you had some crashes with it and maybe some wiring came loose. Totally possible the chip just went bad.

Made building whoops a genuine pleasure. Both my whoops are soldered motors and cameras, with e6000 glued solder connections, and everything conformal coated. Absolute doddle with the Omnifixo holding everything.

Yeah, you've most likely managed to flex the AIO and partially pop off part of the VTx. A hot air solder tool can be used to carefully reflow stuff like this, but it takes a bit of finesse to not blow shit off when solder melts.
Reflow ovens are another option, but beyond most of us.

I built two 65mm whoops a few weeks ago, both with matrix II AIOs in em, one on RCinPower 0702 31800kV with triblades, the other on HM 0702 26000kV and biblades.
They've both taken enough abuse to break two canopies and a frame without complaint. If anything, the rcinpower motors are the weak spot, some of them shed their circlips and therefore the bells a little easily.

If you can see the OSD then perhaps VTX is not the problem? I believe the OSD chip does the video mixing before it reaches VTX? Sounds more like the camera, but not 100% sure.
Already broken one camera on air65ii, getting just black rectangle out of it. Happened to a second camera too but was able to revive it by squeezing the camera pcb hard from the sides, don't asked me how that worked.
