I quite like the change in format but as ever, far too many slots for European teams. 12 slots means at least 8 European teams (9 if Real or City win CL next season) won't have actually won anything but qualified anyway.
Interesting that it's in the summer. I suppose, depending on venues, they may not have wanted to do it in December/February, but it feels weird for it to be outside of the normal European season.

Can't imagine they let some scrubs like Bayern, Liverpool, PSG and Barcelona in. Should rather be 4 teams from Australia.

Better than going to Quatar/Saudi Arabia for sure, but this new format is nonsense.
