Review sites need to start having tickets like for stocks that show how the review score has moved up or down over the years. It’s cool that CP2077 is getting good ratings but that shouldn’t hide how bad the game was as it’s something that shouldn’t keep happening.
Most of the update is included I believe, I think only the new zone and quests are DLC.
If things like the overhaul of cyberware and car combat is DLC only then yeah, fuck 'em. That's stuff which should have been in the game based on their scope described in interviews.

That's exciting! Once I'm done with Starfield I'm hoping to go back to this game and experience the improvements.

It is an expansion that adds content beyond the current game.
You are not paying to unlock features and content already within the game as EA and Ubisoft have accustomed us to.
