The problem with solving murders in the English countryside comes when the new cases stop coming from police and facilities looking for a discrete consulting detective and start coming from neighbors and relatives of your own friends and family. Then it's unnerving how everyone two-steps-of-separation from you keeps dropping dead from peculiar circumstances.

See I think I would be really good at solving murders and I already live in the English countryside so that's easy enough. But I really want the chicken leg hut.

I want a Turkish bathhouse. But only out in the woods or like... a desert oasis far from humankind. It doesn't require chicken legs but it would be cool if it had murder mysteries for me to solve occasionally.
