The “jpeg” take is so stupid it hurts. Sure NFT art is maybe not a great idea, but it’s no where near as simple as people make it out to be.

You're absolutely right, it isnt that simple. It's a very needlessly complex and wasteful process to... produce a receipt for a transaction.

A joke around the true nature of this complicated receipt I could get behind. At least it would be based on an actual understanding of the tech.
Also, not so wasteful now that ethereum has gone to proof of stake.
