Women want him, men want to be him.

cloudy1999@sh.itjust.works · 7 pts · 2y

I was never this rad, but there is always hope.

Man, I remember unwrapping the NES my parents got me for my birthday. I had three whole games. Duck hunt, Top gun, Mario. That was a nice hit of nostalgia.

QuincyPeck@lemmy.world · 22 pts · 2y (4 replies)

Trying to land on the carrier in Top Gun brings back a hit of trauma.

yads@lemmy.ca · 10 pts · 2y (2 replies)

Speed up, left, left, speed down, right, right. Plop

thisbenzingring@lemmy.sdf.org · 6 pts · 2y

You can save and quit in Zelda, it just takes 2 controllers. You had to pause with controller 1 then hit Up+A on controller 2.

That's the real reason people bought Nintendo Power

jaybone@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 2y (3 replies)

Wait what?? You couldn’t save in Zelda? Didn’t it at least give you a code you could enter later?

I think Kid Icarus used a code. Which is crazy because that would have had to encode a ton of inventory items.

What game is he playing? Is that Chip n Dale?

wazzupdog@lemmy.world · 12 pts · 2y (2 replies)

Yes it is. I put so many hours into that game as a kid into my teens trying to beat it.

clay_pidgin@sh.itjust.works · 12 pts · 2y

I beat it hundreds of times as a teenager. Never played Chip&Dale, though.

Ibex0@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 2y

It was a tough game.

WarmSoda@lemm.ee · 11 pts · 2y (1 reply)

I think it might be.
I hated the last level in that game.

chellomere@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 2y

But it had the bestest music!

This picture was the end game for 80s babies. A Duck Tales poster would really tie my room together.

I remember telling my dad that I wanted an NES. He was like “we got NES at home.” Get home to a Bally Astrocade. Looking back that was cool as fuck. I miss that thing. But man was I pissed back then.

its_the_new_style@sh.itjust.works · 7 pts · 2y (1 reply)

Kind of looks like a dollar store Zack Morris.

instamat@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 2y

NerdyPopRocks@lemmy.world · 7 pts · 2y

That boy’s mother is working 2 jobs to feed her kids and protect them from the horrors of the world. What an innocent time

Wow! I completely forgot that I had model jets hanging from my bedroom ceiling as a kid until I saw this picture right now.

APassenger@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 2y

Race cars, lasers, aeroplanes, it's a, duck-blur!

rivingtondown@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 2y

It's a Capcom ad that ran in Nintendo Power - hence the Capcom hat, him playing Chip 'n Dale, the multiple copies of Strider on his cubicle-ass looking desk setup.

Comment105@lemm.ee · 5 pts · 2y

fuggadihere@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 2y

Deceptichum@kbin.social · 1 pts · 2y

Oh you want to enjoy the full cover art on your wall? . . . Yeah, nah.

ProvableGecko@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 2y

Fleshlight technology has certainly improved. They are much smaller now and come in colors other than yellow
