FTC: Amazon/Ring workers illegally spied on users of home security cameras

A self hosted (preferably FOSS) home security video solution would probably have prevented something like this. Main problem is those solutions aren't as simple as Ring's plug and play cameras.

"they wouldn't!" ~ nobody

The worst part is that the FTC's "punishment" does virtually nothing to stop this from happening again.
