Big jump for the regular 8 but no increase at all for the pro?

The 7 was always such a good deal.

I wonder how they justify the price bump? Higher refresh rate?

I'm still praying for USB c out like the rumors say

The MSRP for both the Pixel 6 and the Pixel 7 was $599, so this bump is indeed a bit disappointing because as you said the upgrade isn't that massive to justify a 16.7% price hike (and inflation doesn't even excuse it).

I suspect that the real reason is it cannibalized some of their a series sales by being a good deal

I am looking forward to replacing my OnePlus 7 Pro with a pixel 8 pro. Glad to see it didn't get more expensive than the 7.

Why? I'm also on the 7 pro. I don't see much reason to upgrade tbh

Camera, wireless charging, 5g, get rid on OnePlus' UI, the call screening/transcribing stuff, and probably more that I'm forgetting.

The OnePlus is still fast, but I'm tired of it.

this will be very tempting...
