Have you faced casual racism? In other states / outside India?

My boss in Bangalore(kannadiga) called me in Mallu nfront of the whole team. I never thought about Mallu being a racist term, but when somebody else address you like that Infront of others it felt different. But I laughed not to spoil the mood for everybody. It was during some team outing.
