Do you actually put olives on top of your sandwiches?

When you look at a cartoon illustration of a sandwich, you will usually an olive or other similar topping on top of the sandwich. Have you actually put olives on top of your sandwiches? If so, why?

I believe the sandwiches you are referring to are called club sandwiches which are held together by a cocktail stick (a big toothpick basically). I guess the olives are stuck on them for decoration and to be eaten. I google image searched “club sandwich olives” and it seems fairly common.

Now, I don’t make sandwiches like those, so to answer your question, no, I don’t.

How interesting. I'm thinking of getting into sandwich making myself and those looks delicious. If you don't mind, can you tell what kind of sandwiches you make?

Nothing exciting. Peanut butter. Or salad and roast chicken.

Is your username really just "--"?

I'm imagining OP as someone who has never made a sandwich and dreams about doing it one day. Until then all they can do is look at pictures of sandwiches, imagining what they might do.

I do think about sandwiches all day, so your right on that part.

I don't put olives on my sandwiches, but I love both sandwiches and olives and often eat them alongside one another.

Gag. I love olive oil but hate olives, so no. Even if you consider olive oil as a sandwich ingredient it's still "in" the sandwich, so again no haha
