In spite of what you might have seen on tiktok or youtube, you should NOT try this at home because it's already killed 34 people. At the end of this is a link to a video that debunks all of those other videos, but in the meantime here's a few examples of what this process can do, under the right industrial circumstances.

I love Lichtenberg Figures as much as the next nerd, but knowing even a little bit about how they are made should make all the alarm bells in your head go off that it shouldn't be done at home. If you want a safe way to play around with electricity, get a Van de Graaff generator.

Now that's something I've never seen before. And (following @wjs018@beehaw.org's comment) here I thought the pyrography machine I have at home was dangerous enough on its own. lol
