If you haven't played Black Mesa yet, I heavily encourage you to do so.

Black Mesa is amazing, recommended it to so many of my friends that never played Half Life and they all ended up moving straight on to HL2 afterwards

I tried it some time ago but stopped halfway through after it corrupted my save file.
