Well, this is depressing. It's taken me hours to work out how to get onto this community from another instance, and now that I'm here there are no comments showing. I guess they are still bouncing around the internet somewhere and I'll be able to see them soon.
hmm, still no food. I guess I'll have to rumage around and see what I can find for myself.
Donuts? Nope, still out of stock. Can't see any bacon. No mash either, with or without brown sugar. Oh, there is a potato! That'll microwave up great. I live to fight another day.
There's plenty here if anyone else wants one, help yourself.

Now that I think about it there are donuts and cakes that use potato as one of, if not their only starch. So as long as you had a relatively plain mash (potato, milk or cream, very little salt), adding brown sugar might not be terrible. Next time I make mash (which I assume will be fairly soon) I'll put some aside and try it. Then I'll report back on that day's random thread.
