Modularity is a great thing! This is a good pro Repair step as well as I'm sure helping Sony's logistics. I wonder too if with the slim the APU node size has gone down which will help it be more energy efficient

I would think that they’re just reducing the size of the heatsink again. Probably realized that it they had some diminishing returns on the size to cooling ratio.
