Pretty sure they're talking about the FA Cup in this section and how clubs from all over the UK no matter the league they play in participate.

MC_ScattCatt@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

Yank here this confirms all of England šŸ‡¬šŸ‡§ is just really London.

rummyt@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y (3 replies)

Apparently the encyclopedia of football does not contain any maps

lunacraz@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

TheWawa_24@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

Leicester wolves derby goes hard.

NotaSirWeatherstone@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

I’d love to visit the underwater stadium in Norwich!

raysofdavies@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

The more they do the worse the whole endeavour looks.

sunshine_is_hot@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

Dan Burn just pocketed Dembele too

Probablynotarealist@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

Newcastle south of Boro. That's a new one

10TheDudeAbides11@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

Whole swaths of East of England and southern East Midlands missing here…and for what reason? Also no Chelsea or Tottenham? Just Arsenal for London? No Manchester United (literally one of the biggest clubs in the world? Man City, Brentford, and Everton wayyyy out of place…Wow…who sanctioned this eyesore?……….

z0e_G@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

How could I forget about Blyth Spartans AFC

tmw88@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

I reckon this was made by a Liverpool fan trolling. Everton in Wales and Man Utd wiped off the map.

Fggunner@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y (1 reply)

Correct

justlookingokaywyou@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

Username checks out.

CaptainSmeg@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

Newcastle and Preston becoming Yorkshire derbies for us is not what I expected today.

bbro03@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

As a Devonian I am hurt and offended

StraightExtension@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

I like the way Hull isn’t by the river hull off the Humber estuary lol

Hashtagbarkeep@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

Everton in Wales

Wolves in Merseyside

Leeds near Newcastle

Forest in Norfolk

Newcastle west coast

QPR West Country

Blackburn in Scotland

All checks out

GetYourRockCoat@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

I don't know what that is

tufoop3@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

Some people just want to see the world burn by releasing maps like that

Ligma_lemur@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

Yup fuck Brighton amirite?

Upplands-Bro@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

No, Y is not a fucking vowel

See that's the neat part, it is

jaime-the-lion@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

lol I’m an electrical engineer and polarity still trips me up sometimes. Also go Loons!

Magneto88@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

On that map they are.

krokuts@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

Ah anglophones and their curious inability to spell common words.

3V3RT0N@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

Liverpool fans like say all our fans come from North Wales so it checks out.

SassanZZ@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

Yeah I always forget the first H tbh

suunsglasses@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

Watch it, it's going to move!

the_bag_and_the_duck@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

Everton are Welsh, Colchester are east, Whoever made this Hates weat-a-bix

dis6wood@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

Everton: Today I feel Welsh

OneCard6710@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y (3 replies)

QPR, the famous Gloucestershire club

shadoowkight@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

Cardiff and Swansea, the world renowned clubs from Cornwall.

It's probably some other county...but I'm shit at remembering English counties

I reckon it's somewhere around Devon

Scott1060@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y (1 reply)

Always remembered it as 'rhythm has your two hips moving'

haerski@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

If you have two hips you should probably seek the advise of Dr /u/dankhodor2000

Any-Where@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

I’m fairly sure Grimsby (placed on the wrong side of the Humber in Hull, despite also including Hull’s badge on the map) made the cut as a callback as we played spoiler in the finale of Season 1 by beating them in the play-offs, and basically got the happy ending Wrexham were after.

I’m sure if there’s a Season 3, that their 3-0 win over us this season will get a bit of spotlight attention lol

raoulduke023@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y (1 reply)

I think this was just a clip thing talking about the fa cup and they weren't actually discussing where teams are from. Like it was a little clip as they were talking about how the fa cup works, not this is the teams location and this is what we think.

Sphik@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

Yes this is the context of the map. It's to show various teams from different divisions all take part in the FA cup.

MrPooPooFace2@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

This is utter disrespect considering they're own fucking team is in Wales šŸ˜‚

RIPGeech@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

In a match already being described as ā€œon this Sundayā€!

TheKnightsRider@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

United were relegated? Blyth got their place?

FelixR1991@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

the comments in this thread are the exact reason why this map was made.

GuardianGundam@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

Grimsby north of the river. Gross

johnniehuman@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

Started with Colchester United and Norwich and then just dropped the rest and went for a beer.

granty1981@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

Why fleetwood and no Blackpool when they have been in the premier league?

refusestonamethyself@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

Ik Everton are bad, but Welsh League bad???

MattSR30@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

Wp the tophus!

Olliejc24@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

You can only call them Cornish pasties if you're buying them in Swansea

colbat45@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

Banksyyy_@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

It gets worse the more you look at it

Matfen_@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

The more you look, the worse it gets.

Ryanpadcasey@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

After reading this thread, I never wanna hear ā€œAmericans don’t get our dry humorā€ ever again

Sorbicol@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

Swansea is in Devon, Cardiff is in Somerset. It clearly shows on that map.

maybegamer3@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

as we all know the only club from london is arsenal, that’s common knowledge

Fuckmods6969@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

St James' has become sentient and is rampaging throughout the north

bananalandinc@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

Yeah, it’s not a serious documentary. It’s more about the town, football culture, and Rob/Ryan than it is about the players or the club. Lots of stupid little jokes and stuff throughout - not sure if they’re inside jokes or trying to drive engagement just like this post amongst English/Welsh viewers.

Either way, there’s always a weird amount of anti-Americanism in these conversations. You people are insane if you expect us to know the locations of small towns/clubs in your country. Not like you guys know any US geography outside of Florida, NYC, and California anyway.

Courtneypunx@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

Blackburn giving Celtic a run for their money next year

LilGoughy@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

How tf are we more welsh than Wrexham lol

gnort27@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

Actually Devon/Somerset but I guess for an American you are close enough šŸ˜‚

LeagueOfML@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y (1 reply)

Tbh I wasn’t totally clear where Devon ended and I just figured nobody from either Somerset or Devon had powerful enough internet access to yell at me if I got it wrong

Sorbicol@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

I’m stood on top of a hill on Exmoor waving my phone around for the signal. What can I tell you?

rkrb6x6@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y (2 replies)

I don't watch the show, presumably this is tongue-in-cheek?

ForceOfMortality@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y (1 reply)

It’s like a two second graphic with all of the logos popping onto the map in rapid succession while the voiceover is talking about how teams from all over the country participate in the FA Cup. It’s not tongue in cheek or anything but in context of watching the show no one will actually be looking at it as a map of the clubs’ locations, it’s just a quick punchy visual.

FailFastandDieYoung@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

how teams from all over the country participate in the FA Cup

In which case, it makes sense that Arsenal is shown to represent London

yrugay1@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

This really represents the American knowledge of geography quite well

shadoowkight@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

Cardiff and Swansea, the world renowned clubs from Cornwall.

It's probably some other county...but I'm shit at remembering English counties

I reckon it's somewhere around Devon

mhoward1289@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

I might be misreading a badge, but I’m surprised greater west London outfit, Brentford, is trending north of Newcastle?

ChessNewGuy@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

That short journey from Middlesbrough through Leeds to Newcastle

Danzard@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

Swansea and Cardiff proper West Country clubs

InmateQuarantine2021@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

Alright, how's it going, alright?

No-Industry-2980@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

Norwich are my dark horse šŸŽ

internallylinked@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

London is red

Commodontious@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

As a native of Oxford, I didn't realise I was actually from Hereford. Shrewsbury is in Wales but Cardiff isn't, that's a new one too.

MattGeddon@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

If we're being very very generous, Everton are well supported in North Wales and Shrewsbury used to play in the Welsh Cup. Fuck knows what Rochdale are doing there though!

Georgi0s@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

uP tHe PoMpEy

SamsTown706@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

Looks like Arsenal is the only team in London.

Boris_Ignatievich@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

yeah but the point was mostly to correct where brentford was and they were near enough to make that point.

(im from penrith so i'm also familiar with pound shop blackpool)

Brashmate@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y (1 reply)

How can they apologise to you?

Your team CLEARLY doesn’t exist

innit122@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

Whats the point for all the blank spaces then?

Daan100@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

This is why you never ask yanks to do anything with geography

innit122@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

How did they actually fuck it up so bad? Like I'm actually curious. 1 Google search is all it takes lmao

LeagueOfML@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y (1 reply)

Most Americans call all of the UK ā€œEnglandā€ so yeah

yrugay1@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

Tbf most of Americans call any European country "Europe". They will tell you they went on a vacation to Europe, which could range from Darlington to Albania

ecidarrac@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

The more I look the worse it gets

Rebotco5th@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

Coventry, the biggest team in the Midlands, I see no issues here.

RRR92@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

Wrexham doc creators knew EXACTLY what they were doing creating this.....its been posted on Twitter by every football page around. And now Reddit.....no such thing as bad publicity....

MARIJUANALOVER44@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

it's not pronounced blith

CockKnobz@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

This has got to be satire, I mean surely

BruiserBroly@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y (1 reply)

Probably shouldn't have asked Jack Grealish to make the map.

jaime-the-lion@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

There’s a video of Saka asking him to spell ā€œrhythmā€ at the world cup and he’s completely stumped. Man’s got calves that make me swoon, but he’s about as sharp as a tadpole.

ExMoogle@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

man im a german that follows the Prem for Newcastle and even i know that its not even close lol.

sangpls@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

Someone actually got paid to make this graphic wow

AJC0292@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

Liverpool apparently that big Everton ran off to Anglesey

frogsanje@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

I'm just surprised we're on here tbh

Ibangcrewgirls@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

It's fisrly accurate. Coventry is centre of England, therefore for world.

justlookingokaywyou@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

Username checks out.

MonkeyNewss@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

Americans 😫

marko1908@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

I guess you're in Luxembourg

HotPotatoWithCheese@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

My favourite thing about this map is that Man United and Chelsea don't even make the cut.

the_borderer@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

blackburn is the badge at carlisle

It looks more like they're at Silloth (which is a Pound shop Blackpool with a rocky beach).

gluxton@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

Average level of yank geography.

KanteBeAsked@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y (2 replies)

Brentford are just a bustop in Carlisle.

Fireproof-Matches@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

It's probably the opposite, really—I'd say an American is more likely to characterize anyone from the island as "British" rather than English, Welsh, Scottish. Think of how many American opinion polls characterize the "British" accent as sexy, when they're probably thinking of Jude Law's accent rather than scouse or glaswegian

Gman8491@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

Am American and received a very good education here. They never differentiated England, the UK, or Great Britain that I can ever remember. To most of us, they are interchangeable terms. I remember being curious about it and looking it up myself. You’d think as the country we won independence from, and is now our closest ally, we might be taught that information but no.

southdakotagoth@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y (2 replies)

London looks good

volanger@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y (1 reply)

For accuracy sake it does say they need to be champions of premier league, so chelsea should be there. Gotta at least get the big clubs with trophies in.

Alvaro_Rey_MN@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

big clubs

Chelsea

Pick One!

Chewy009x@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

Ooof this season has been mediocre. Which is sad because they got promoted was expecting to have more of an tense season

MaidenMadness@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

I've heard that QPR is in West London, but didn't knew it was almost in Wales for far west it is.

xScottieHD@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

I for one welcome Blyth Spartans claiming their rightful place as the biggest club in the country. Robbie Dale would've made mincemeat of Haaland.

jdv23@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

London is Red

bananalandinc@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

Great Britain vs UK is extremely fuzzy in the US, I wouldn’t expect anyone to know that. Hell, I probably wouldn’t even get that right. I also wouldn’t expect anyone to know the difference between flags, that’s nerd-level stuff not part of pop culture or general world news stories.

But you know some absolute dumbasses if they don’t know the distinction between Ireland and Scotland. Anyone with a high school education and access to the internet in America should know that. I’d bet my life that a majority of Americans could tell the difference.

McCloudUK@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

I watched this and it was gone in a few seconds. But even those few seconds I was bemused.

Seems like Grimsby has invaded past the Humber and pushed Hull into Whitby. Newcastle has had a few too many and stumbled into the the wrong side of the country. Brentford have high tailed it as far away from London as they can. Everton have had enough of being the 2nd best team in Liverpool and becoming the best team in the middle of nowhere. Blyth are now the PRIMARY team in England. Incredible

TremendousCoisty@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

That’s such a wee shame haha

Soarin-GB@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

Love the Rochdale Wrexham welsh derby

sleepytoday@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

Having watched welcome to Wrexham, I suspect this is an intentional joke for british audiences.

Ymadawiad@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

I'd like to take this time to apologise to everybody we have forcibly displaced.

Except Shrewsbury. Fuck you lot.

AMK_21@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

I find this map confusing. I didn't know Everton was from my ancestors' region of Wales. I always thought they were English

SarcoZQ@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

The same car is generally in Darlington first.

CrossXFir3@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

At least I'd get to see us win things occasionally again

JellyfishFantastic93@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

i like the london šŸ”“āšŖļø

Blabber_On@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

We're massive

Ok_Might6447@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

why do they have Brentford in the north of England?

smithdanvers@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y (1 reply)

He doesn’t know what a face is either, he calls it the looky-smelly-talky-eaty bit on your front-head

CrossXFir3@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

That's an awful lot of words for him

chandlerbing_stats@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

Chelsea, Tottenham, Fulham, and West Ham all got sent to the shadow realm. But, QPR got a spot on the map šŸ¤”

LastBlueHero@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

You all keep saying about Brentford in the north but Rochdale in Wales and Blackburn in the borders is another shocker.

MyIdoloPenaldo@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y (1 reply)

Ah yes, my favourite northern club, Brentford

moonski@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

CaptainGrezza@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

Dunno whether to be insulted that we've been placed in Yorkshire or delighted that Fleetwood are recognised over Blackpool

Zaku_pilot_292@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

Everton in Wales

Cardiff in what, Devon?

Stop_Gettin_Cunty@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

OnceIWasYou@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

Ah, Newcastle that famous club of the North East West.

*Just seen Forest almost in East Anglia, Everton practically on Anglesey and Blackburn almost on the Scottish border! I was thinking we could do a joke reply version of NFL Clubs Franchises but some will just think it's serious.

Howtothinkofaname@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y

ronaldo119@alien.top · 1 pts · 2y
