And it does a piss-poor job of washing dishes, I guarantee. I've never in my life seen a dishwasher worth a damn.

Ummm, they do a pretty good job washing dishes. Have you regularly cleaned the filters in your dishwashers?

They actually do a good job, in my experience. I recently installed one in my home and it works really well. It cleans better then what we can do manually (hot water and pressurised spraying and all).
