It's not that surprising, the business model in the NFL is much friendlier to the owners and making money, the teams aren't really competing financially since they are all franchises of the NFL, not independent entities.
They also get taxpayers to pay for their stadiums a lot of the time.
After the way people protested over the super league theres no way Premier League fans would accept a product that would be so commercialised that it would make as much money as the NFL.
