You can eat them frozen, you can eat them room-temp, or you can pop them in a toaster to heat them up.
Non meme versions are sweet with a gooey filling. Kids eat them for breakfast or as a snack. But they're not really conventionally "good" as you might have experienced with other American breakfast/snack pastries.
