Let’s fix this up a bit: Scotiabank said Wednesday it's kowtowing to global market trends with needlessly firing about three per cent of its global workforce as a result of
changes at the bank and customers' day-to-day banking preferences, as well as ongoing efforts to streamline operations.a bullshit forced recession and to force the existing workforce to work harder and be more subservient.cheery_coffee@lemmy.ca · 6 pts · 2y

I've dealt with TD, BMO, and Scotiabank. Scotiabank had by far the most incompetent staff. The number of times they either forgot to mention crucial details or forgot to do a something important is completely unacceptable for a financial institution.

Scotiabank is the only one that spammed me with insurance sales calls ten years ago and wouldn't let me take myself off the list because having a bank account was a pre-existing business relationship. I had to close my bank account to get the spam calls to stop

TD is the worst. Scotia, Bmo, Royal, and CIBC are tied for second worse.
