Man, looking to be a disastrous weekend for Aston Martin. Alonso out in Q1 for the first time this season.

Wow, Max made a mistake 😦.

Great to see Norris on front row and congrats to Leclerc for Pole.

All gearing up for a great race on Sunday.

I thought he exceeded limits on his last lap in Q1 on turn 9. So he probably shouldn't have even made Q3. That that's why I thought they told Alonso to stay in his car.

hellequin67@lemm.ee · 3 pts · 2y

To be honest when I was watching I felt the same.

Both Aston's out, guess the upgrades aren't working.

Nighed@sffa.community · 1 pts · 2y (1 reply)

They had no laps to work on the setup. Bad idea to bring new stuff to a sprint weekend.

hellequin67@lemm.ee · 2 pts · 2y

Of course, not enough time to iron out the kinks.

Microw@lemm.ee · 9 pts · 2y (2 replies)

Hulk on #1, Mag on #12 lol

Edit: how the tablets turn..

hellequin67@lemm.ee · 5 pts · 2y

That didn't age well πŸ˜”

urquell@lemm.ee · 1 pts · 2y

Woops

narc0tic_bird@lemm.ee · 7 pts · 2y

Could be close between Mercedes, Ferrari, maybe McLaren and maybe, maybe even Verstappen, unless he's just ahead by five tenths again.

bwoah@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 2y (1 reply)

Haas???

Edit: Maybe it's just the track evolution

hellequin67@lemm.ee · 5 pts · 2y

Feel sorry for Hulkenberg, first to knocked out. Track limits strike again

bwoah@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 2y

Well Aston Martin regression this season is insane

lazycouchpotato@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 2y

Oooooooh what a spicy Q3. Fun watch.

Nighed@sffa.community · 6 pts · 2y (1 reply)

I like this grid!

TastyWheat@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 2y

Same. Lap 1 should be spicy and Oscar will have something to prove. Add Max having some work to do...

TastyWheat@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 2y

Here I was, thinking "well, Alonso hasn't finished his lap yet, 16th is frustrating for Danny Ric."

Then he crossed the line.

JCPhoenix@kbin.social · 5 pts · 2y

Max gonna have to do just a little bit of work this weekend starting at P6.

Roen@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 2y

That Hamilton oversteer.

itsathursday@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 2y (1 reply)

Rickyrocket done fucked up, not a great comeback :(

TastyWheat@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 2y

I would be glad with a Q2 appearance despite getting that last lap deleted. 1 hour of practice Isn't much for getting used to the physical stress of driving again let alone the car. We could see some overtakes tomorrow..

SlicingBot@lemmy.ml · 1 pts · 2y (1 reply)

Is this track going to be like Singapore for RedBull is there a chance we will see another new race winner?

Or am I putting too much stock in Verstappen coming in 3rd in Q1?

Microw@lemm.ee · 3 pts · 2y

My commentators have been going on about how "maybe Verstappen is on used tires" for all of Q1 and Q2

Microw@lemm.ee · 1 pts · 2y

Interesting, Stroll currently in #7
