My go to cocktail, I find the Averna much more interesting than a sweet vermouth, although I won't turn down a standard Manhattan.
- 2 dashes Ango

Michters American is an excellent whiskey, especially at its price point. Love a cocktail that'll highlight the strength of the liquor without busying it up.

If you haven't tried them, a more bitter vermouth like Punt E Mes, Cocchi Dopo Teatro, or Padro & Co Dorado Amarco Suave can be a best of both worlds kinda thing.

Black Manhattan. One of my favorites and surprisingly not well known.
Never heard of Mitcher's before. Interesting aging process. How do you like it compared to typical bourbon?

I've really started enjoying different amaro in place of sweet vermouth. In a Manhattan, Boulevardier, etc.
