hey there! this is a beginner question but I really need some info to help me start out on some trails.

I'm having a problem finding and planning a good 1 or 2 night backpacking trail in Southern California where I don't have to worry about water. I have a filter and have done a 2 night hike with my buddy with my UL setup all ready to go, but I'm having trouble researching the best hikes to do where I can rely on my water filter and trails with a bunch of streams.

my question is - how do I find the best trails to hike in so cal where I only need to rely on streams for water? the rest of my gear I already have figured out but I feel like this is the last thing holding me back from getting out on the trail.

thanks for your patience with my beginner question!

here's my setup
