One of the most damaging behaviors that Mormonism pounds into us is that we should keep on trying something that doesn't work. Keep praying, keep obeying, have faith.

In real life, if there's no evidence you're on the right track, that means you're not on the right track. "Spiritual experiences" might seem like evidence until you realize 1) they're not reproducible, and 2) they fail to answer any actual questions.

"I tried it, it doesn't work." That sentence can save so much time and money.

Faith is not a virtue.
