As an American based on the amount of random Canadian currency I've had In my hands having never been north of the border I can only assume if they were Canadian they would have accidentally had more than a quarter us dollar in random US change in their entire life.
I'm not a fan of this one. It is kind of funny but, I'm also just too worried that some gullible Linux newbies will take this as real advice and be caused great emotional, and potentially financial, tragedy.

What about ULTRA FRENCH?
bunnyfc@kbin.social · 25 pts · 2y
be sure to add -no-preserve-root to make sure ultra french is gone too
itslilith@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 11 pts · 2y
no need, since /* doesn't start at root, it'll not trip the safety

I think you’re wrong but I’m not willing to test it to see

the shell expands it to
rm -fr /bin /etc /usr /home /devand so on. rm never sees the /, so the safety doesn't triggermoosetwin@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 2 pts · 2y

If you're Canadian, I'm willing to send you several US currency for a bag or two of All Dressed chips!
iamtrashman1312@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 2y
Wait, does the rest of the US not have these?
AlligatorBlizzard@sh.itjust.works · 3 pts · 2y
They show up very rarely when Frito Lays wants to do a limited release, but they're not something I usually see in my local grocery stores anymore.

Eh, not really anymore. Now you need to run it with the option --no-preserve-root flag or something like that in order for it to do irrivokable damage
Bandicoot_Academic@lemmy.one · 16 pts · 2y
Not if you do "/*". The warning only appears if you try to remove "/"
Wilzax@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 2y
You could always just reinstall from a usb boot drive lol
