@jerry hi, i noticed that i cannot "add" new magazines from kbin.social

specifically, when i try to add @RedditMigration, it does nothing, despite it existing at https://kbin.social/m/RedditMigration.
i checked a second one, using @BuyItForLife, also nothing

i checked this wasn't an issue with all instances by adding @science, which worked first try.
i wanted to ask if you reckon this is an issue with kbin.social, or with fedia.io? thanks :)

@boffinbox It was mentioned that kbin.social is overloaded, and needed to add some Cloudflare thing which is preventing federation. Should be resolved soon

Its probably on everyone's end right now. I was wondering if I was doing something wrong (or if my lemmy instance and kbin weren't connected), but kbin barely is loading posts right now, I think alot of instances are struggling right now with the mass amount of reddit users flooding in. I'm sure it'll start working soon enough, once they get a handle on it

It's not an issue with fedia, but an issue with kbin.social having cloudflare up to block DDOS

@boffinbox
I suspect it is because kbin.social has DDos protections enabled. That has been preventing federation into and out of kbin.social.

@dannekrose Wow, that kind of breaks the whole federation thing, no? Hopefully it's temporary!
