I’ve seen some other stuff elsewhere that was more of a disappointment outside of the community which is mainly why I made the post.
Mlem’s community browser is much nicer. I prefer the Apollo-styled organization and the fact that you can gesture back to it. Memmy’s community list is hard to scan and the icon isn’t in a finger friendly location.
I imagine they’ll get there. The Memmy gang made the right call. Things like the inbox and post formatting are more important than a the style of the community browser IMHO.

To me Melm and Memmy are both good but Memmy just feels more developed.
