I had ice cream the other night and when I was finished, because of the lazy fuck that I am, I put the bowl on the floor next to the lounge and continue watching TV, about 15 mins later there is this weird sounds next to me. I look down and the cat is looking up at me heaving, she had been licking the ice cream and must have gotten a big serving of the salted caramel sauce... 10 mins later she came back for another go with the same result... hrrrh hrrrh hrrrh

I remember some people saying cats actually get some benefit from eating grass.

Kase@lemmy.world · 18 pts · 2y (2 replies)

Not this grass

I thought microplastics give us all superpowers?

PetDinosaurs@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 2y

Not these microplastics.

In the least I get some benefit, namely that they don’t eat my other plants as much.

Give the poor cat real grass!

GoddessOfGouda@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 2y (2 replies)

My cat often succeeds in eating the fake grass

fckreddit@lemmy.ml · 3 pts · 2y (1 reply)

I hate to think about the consequences of that success..

GoddessOfGouda@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 2y

She throws it back up and I’m like well well well if it isn’t the fake grass

And when she goes to eat it if I catch her I do yell “HEY that’s PLASTIC” 😂 but she’s kind of an idiot sometimes

plistig@feddit.de · 5 pts · 2y (3 replies)

How about presenting real grass to your cat? If it swallows plastic, this could cause acute health problems.

Where does this logic stop? What if the cat tries to eat the head of a baby doll?

plistig@feddit.de · 3 pts · 2y (1 reply)

Where does your logic start? A cat will instinctually think that the fake grass is good for her to eat.

When a cat repeatedly tries to eat a certain doll, then yeah, keep it out of reach of the cat.

fckreddit@lemmy.ml · 5 pts · 2y

No, instead give the head of a real baby...
