Sooo what’s the federated alternative? I see a pattern here

Peertube

Any good android apps for peertube? I see a few search results, not sure which is good

Peertube exists, but it will probably never replace YouTube for even 1% of its' users.

Unlike Twitter and Reddit, YouTube actually pays its' content creators. Without the ad money, it won't be worth it for many.

YT premium has been the most worth it investment for me. especially if you’re able to change location using a VPN and getting it for $1.50 a month.

Theoretically, which location would that be?

Good luck Google. I don't think this is an arms race they can win.
