What does "burrito" mean when it's no longer a wrapped meal?

Call it something else. Arroz con frijoles works. "burrito bowl" is like "hamburger soup."

I'm good, nah. Burrito bowls are a super common thing.

The wikipedia page you cited literally lists burrito bowls as a variation.

I mean, if hamburger soup can be a real thing, I don't see why burrito bowls can't be.

There are burger bowls that don't have a bun, this is a common naming thing. I'm honestly not trying to make you mad with this so I'll duck on out of the convo.

A burger bowl is just a bowl of meat. Call it something else.
